Circle - symbol of perfection and eternity. It does not have a beginning or an end, direction or orientation.
Square - a symbolical opposite to the circle. It represents earthly life and material world.
Making a circle out of a square represents the effort to transform human essence into a divine entity, stepping over its own boundaries. These images challenge the expected perception of photographs traditionally restricted in a square. I explore the unlimited boundaries of a circle. Through various symbols, my photographs explore different themes related to femininity, nostalgia, memory and belonging.
